The Thompson Electoral Division
The Thompson electoral division will have some changes in the 2018 Provincial Election. The new boundaries are significantly larger, and include the portion of the former Kewatinook boundaries to the north of the Nelson River as far as the Nunavut border. The revised electoral division now includes all municipalities along the Nelson River, along the Hudson Bay Railway, and along the Hudson Bay border, north of the Nelson River. The new boundaries also include Nelson House, Wapawsik, Sapochi, Mistuhekasookun, North Knife Lake, and South Knife Lake.
The population of the Thompson electoral division, according to the 2016 Census, was 22,380 residents.
