1. Why did you decide to run in the Manitoba election?
I have been a front line worker in health and social services for 17 years, I feel I can bring that experience to the legislature and represent the needs of the people in a realistic way. I have both used and administered various social services in my life. We need change and to bring dignity to people who utilize them.
2. Why should a voter consider electing you to represent them?
Because I will listen. I will do my best to bring forward change and ensure that I am the voice of those I represent.
3. What key issue(s) / topic(s) will you stand for in your role as MLA, and why are these important to you?
Ensuring that we have the ability to help people, by ensuring we have sufficient front line workers in health care, in social services, and that we work from a prevention model rather than the current crisis model. Prevention models are more fiscally responsible, they cost less in the long run and are better for our society as a whole as they treat people with dignity and respect.
4. Do you have any other comments regarding your candidacy?
I urge everyone to read the Liberal Policies and plans. We based them on expert opinions and science. WE listen to the people in our electoral divisions, and we work with them to create a better future for all of us.
