Questionnaire Response

Charles Huband - Portage La Prairie

1. Why did you decide to run in the Manitoba election?

I ran for office to support and sustain liberalism. The Manitoba Liberal Party and its leader Dougald Lamont are the best manifestation of liberalism. I believe in supporting those who require help to attain political equality, income assistance foor the poor, meaningful employment for those who seek work, and adequate care for those values. I will strive to ensure that the Manitoba Liberal party does not waiver from those commitments.

2. Why should a voter consider electing you to represent them?

A vote for the Manitoba Liberal Party candidate is a vote for a clear path forward to a better government and a more prosperous province.

3. What key issue(s) / topic(s) will you stand for in your role as MLA, and why are these important to you?

There are many issues requiring attention including the need to raise minimum wages, expanding the number of day-care facilities, increasing the extent of affordable housing, and investing in appropriate infrastructure programs.

4. Do you have any other comments regarding your candidacy?

I have the experience and background to add an effective voice on justice issues, and the financial and health concerns of senior citizens.
